Counseling

Welcome to Oak Grove School Counseling!

Oak Grove’s Guiding Principles: Be Responsible, Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Respectful, are at the heart of my work as School Counselor.  Throughout the year I spend time with all the Oak Grove kids. I work in the classrooms, meet with students individually, have lunch clubs and organize small groups. Through activities and discussion, the children practice friendship and social skills, mindfulness and stress relief, problem solving and healthy decision-making. Students often visit with me when the need arises or when a parent or teacher thinks it would be helpful.
Parents and families, please feel free to stop by and visit. As part of your child’s team, my hope is to help them be their best, to feel inspired, safe and supported during their school days. Let me know how I can help your child succeed. Ask me about Lunch Clubs, MindUp, Habits of Heart and Mind, TABs (Teasing and Bullying Stops), Big Brothers/Big Sisters-all great things happening at Oak Grove School. Call me at 802-254-4678, email me at kathryn_mason@wsesu.org or come see me anytime.
Our students are truly remarkable. I am so fortunate to be a part of their lives!
